Nuestro compatriota Jorge Posada should be fired, - Adios, Arrivederci, Sayonara, Hasta la vista, baby!
For those of you who don’t follow sports, Jorge Posada , for the last 12 years was the catcher for the NY Yankees. This year was appointed the team DH, “designated hitter”, making 13.1 million dollars a year. You would think a guy sitting on the bench making that humongous ridiculous salary, after having a miserable year with a batting average of .165, would be happy to come out once in a while and hit the ball.
Last night he was given the chance to play the entire game, he refused. Want to know why? Because he “felt disrespected” about being bumped to the ninth spot in the lineup. Lol
After last night’s game against the Boston Red Sox, which the Yankees lost again, I read a report that says the Yankees are facing a big decision. A Yankee official said, “that the team doesn't know what they would do with Posada if he continues to fail to hit. Posada doesn't play the field anymore and doesn't run well, so if he doesn't hit, he would seem to have no value on the roster."
I’ll say stop the charade and show him the door. With so many people in the unemployment lines, he should be grateful to be making that insane amount of money, 13.1 million dollars sitting on the bench. It is appalling. The team is coming apart at the seams and Jorge decides to refuse to play.
It appears that Jorge Posada wasn’t the only Yankee who didn’t want to play Saturday night. We just lost 6-0, on only 7 hits. Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Mark Teixeira were invisible in tonight’s game. Can we say a three game sweep at home Sunday night by the Boston Red Sox?
