From the time mom was diagnosed with cancer, she was with us for 11 more years. In 1985 she died at the young age of 49. We miss her very much and not a day passes by that we don’t think about her. Especially now that my young niece share mom’s facial features, she looks just like mom when mom was younger.
One of my biggest fears in life is being diagnosed with a brain tumor or something similar. That is exactly what happened to one of my favorite baseball players of all times, Hall of Fame catcher and former Met Gary Carter. Two weeks ago Carter was diagnosed with Stage 4 brain cancer, his tumor is inoperable.
Until there is a cure, educate yourself. People are diagnosed everyday and need our support now.
