Went out for lunch with a co-worker yesterday, we've been trying to get together for a while. Both of us have busy schedules, and trying to arrange anything outside the clinic has been difficult. I guess is easier for Heads of State to attend a nuclear summit than for us to have lunch outside the office.
My co-worker is pregnant with her second child, due to deliver in June. She was surprised when I asked the waitress what item from the menu had the least amount of salt/sodium. I had to explain that for some reason, my body is retaining water. I noticed the problem when I realized my clothes were too tight. Even though my eating habits are the same, for the first time in my life I quickly gained over 20 lbs.
My doctor prescribed fluid retention pills but after a while had to stop taking them. Too many negative side effects. Now I have to pay attention at the (nutrition facts) table of every product I purchase and watch how much sodium has been added. Not an easy thing to do. I also printed a list of every single item I used to eat in the past and carry the list with me everywhere I go. I you're asking what I used to eat, I can honestly say I ate a lot of crap.
I guess is true what they say about aging, your pharmacist becomes your best friend, and your idea of weightlifting is standing up, lol
